Why Choose Our Practice?

A smiling familyDerek J. Eaton, DDS, practices oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise in wisdom tooth removal, placement of dental implants, bone grafting procedures, extractions, and biopsies.

When it comes to picking an oral surgeon, we know that you have options. From the front office to the exam room, our practice is made up of professionals who take your oral health very seriously. At our practice, you aren’t just a patient and your safety and comfort are our priority.

We respect and understand that many patients experience dental anxiety. At our office, we do everything we can to make sure that your experience is as enjoyable as possible. By communicating clearly what you can expect during your treatment, we are often able to alleviate dental fear.

Our surgical staff are trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation and outpatient general anesthesia. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. The surgical staff who assist in the administration of IV sedation and surgery at Carolina Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants. We also have a trained registered nurse (RN) with over 20 years experience to assist in surgery. Our RN and surgical assistants are CPR and ACLS certified and have all passed the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam (DAANCE).

We know that the cost of care can be confusing. In addition to offering in-office payment options to fit your budget, we also give you up-front cost information on your treatment ahead of time. We are in network with a variety of insurance plans, and we offer dental financing with Care Credit available in time frames that fit your needs. We are happy to help you navigate your dental insurance and alternative payment options.

Carolina Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex. We will take reasonable steps to provide free of charge language assistance services to people who speak languages we are likely to hear in our practice and who don’t speak English well enough to talk to us about the dental care we are providing.
